I bought this for my daughter because her Chinese zodiac sign is the snake. The snake's body is a satin (matte) finish, while the head is high polished. The low-profile ring is a nice, minimalist style that's comfortable on her middle finger. Weight is substantial and seems sturdy. My order arrived faster than expected in a cute little red box.
